These two 30" × 40" oil paintings by renowned Charleston artist Laurie Meyer were custom framed in gold-face deep black floater frames. The design provides a clean, contemporary presentation while preserving the depth and character of the canvas. Ideal for galleries and collectors, floater frames highlight the edges of stretched canvas artwork and create a refined, museum-quality look.

Mackenzie Tartan Series – Triple-Mat Framing -

A pair of 19th-century Mackenzie Tartan prints, framed as a coordinated set using deep green top mats, precision-cut triple reveals, and Nurre Caxton’s Treviso Midnight Black moulding. Each piece features three individually floated prints with hand-measured spacing and museum-grade glazing. A detailed, technically challenging project that showcases balance, color harmony, and traditional Scottish design elements.

This striking painting of a Caymus Cabernet bottle was framed using a layered design that enhances the depth and presence of the artwork while keeping the presentation clean and modern.

The canvas sits within a sleek black cube frame, which is then set inside a Treviso moulding to create a subtle shadow line and added dimension. The result is a refined presentation that allows the artwork to remain the focal point.

Now professionally trained in custom framing, Scott has combined his technical expertise with a lifelong passion for design to launch The DI Frame Studio on Daniel Island in Charleston, SC.
